I was a partner in the largest law firm in southeastern Oklahoma, and one of the leading personal injury law firms in the State of Oklahoma: Stipe, Gossett, Stipe, Harper, Estes, McCune and Parks from 1980 to 1994. We had four (4) offices in the State of Oklahoma. From 1994 to 1997 I was a partner with my best friend in the law firm of Parks and Wiley, P.C. From 1997 through the present time I have been a sole practitioner in McAlester, Oklahoma. My legal assistant is Sami Adams and my wife, Carri Parks, is my office administrator. I have handled cases in forty (40) of the seventy-seven (77) counties in the State of Oklahoma, state courts in Louisiana and New Mexico, and federal courts in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. I am a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Pittsburg County Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Oklahoma Association for Justice and Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity.
Personal
I was born and raised in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. I attended the University of Oklahoma where I received my Bachelor of Arts in history in 1977, and Juris Doctorate degree in law in 1980. I am married, and I have four (4) children and six (6) grandchildren. I am chairman of the Pittsburg County Democratic Party, and a delegate to the Oklahoma Democratic Convention. I am a past president of the McAlester area United Way, and I have been active in the McAlester Lions Club. I am a religious volunteer with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, and I minister to inmates on death row at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary.
